Mech For Review: Conqueror Reborn

Health levels: 3.5 (900)
Not the highest of healths, but enough to allow it to behave as a dedicated support sniper. Try not to get into prolonged firefights, or you will melt.

Speed: 3
An average speed heavy, this mech is fast enough to outrun most walking assaults with out strife or warp, but isn’t fast enough to catch or out run other heavies or mediums or lights.

Flight capability: 2
This mech flies about as well as a thrown brick. Jump jets at most, with full fuel, will take you to the height of about a medium sized building in old city. Use basic JJ’s since the fuel will last you slightly longer then EJJ’s.

Hitbox Size: 2.5
The hit box is slightly smaller than the large boxish body that makes up the mass of the mech, making it possible for rounds to pass through the shoulders and lower extremes of the chest and not harm the user.

Special: Comes with 50% built in AMS, 10% ballistic Resistances

Weapons that come with: Conqueror Cannon 2

Heavy Sniper Cannon:
Equip slot: Right and Left Arm
Damage level: 5 (130 damage base)
ammo: 4 (80, rated so high due to damage-to-ammo ratio)
range: 5 (Cross sim capabilities)
Projectile type: Bullet, Physical
Projectile speed: 5 (Very rapid travel)
fire rate: 2 (about a two second refire)
Heat generation: 2
Fired alone, it causes little heat generation, but fired in pairs or repeatedly or with other weapons, it will cause major heat build and require paceing of your fireing.
Ease of aim: 4
Special: Updated Sniper rounds ensure no push, and more accurate hit detection.
Hardmounted: Yes
Splash Size: 0, None
Personal notes: A slightly harder hitting, higher ammo version of the Heavy sniper rifle, those who loved the snipers of old will cherish these throwbacks to the snipers of meter X. With their rapid travel, largish projectile, and rather hard hitting damage, these sniper rifles are very lethal and very potent, rendering it an amazing sniping weapon, or impromptu battle cannons. The Conqueror doesn’t have the health to resist in close battle cannon usage though, so it’s better to use them as they were built to be used.

Overall review

At only 450L, this is possibly the hardest hitting mech for sale for under 500L. with a 260 damage base alpha, cross sim capabilities, built in partial AMS, and some resistances, it makes for an awesome base platform upon which to build. Equiping yourself with pec and stomach heatsinks, and then mounting V-syncs on the shoulders or Harbingers to compliment the already existing Sniper rifles will make you a very potent long range mech. However, you will suffer from severe heat issues if you choose the vanquishers, I suggest putting heat sinks on the pecs and the stomach, saving the spine for emergency coolant or armor buffs.

While the Small changes here and there don’t seem obvious on the field of battle, it does make the smallest of differences if used properrly. The heavier hitting snipers will allow you to win long range duels over other mechs fielding standard heavy sniper rifles, the Balistic resistance enables you to tank the incoming long range sniper fire, and the partial AMS renders enemy LRM’s and Longbobs half as usefull. Watch out for light harrassing mechs and in close brawlers though, as they will shred your otherwise long range based mech unless your a crack shot at point blank range.

My final opinion, still completely worth the 450L. It’s weapons are no longer omni-mount, this mech still makes an awesome base mount for customization and hurting your foes. A definate must buy.
